For one of our international clients, we are looking for a R&D engineer - capacitors - mechanical design.

Responsabilities:

Develop the next generation of capacitors focusing on the mechanical designDesign for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly and Design for serviceability3D CAD modelling of film capacitors - SolidWorks or CreoLead R&D project or work-package, with structured and target-oriented working styleLead and participate in Failure Mode and Effects AnalysisDesign experimental set-ups, conduct tests and analyze test results, possibly including electromechanical modellingWork with a global R&D team ensuring a knowledge sharing, timely and high-quality deliverablesClose collaboration with our Power Grids Research organization and with academiaCreate ideas and proposals for new R&D projectsEffectively communicate with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and other external partnersDocument results in the form of technical reports, presentations, IP, etc

Profile:

Master or PhD in mechanical engineering, with a specialisation in mechanical design.Experience in mechanical design of Film Capacitors or HV products is a plusExcellent knowledge of DFM, DFA and DFS.Experience conducting FMEAExperience using Creo or SolidWorksExcellent analytical skills and conducting search experimentsable to work in all technical areas involved in the product, materials, insulation systems, thermal management, multiphysic integration.
