As the main Tax Specialist, you will:
- Oversee a wide range of tax compliance activities, including VAT, corporate tax, and transfer pricing.
- Conduct tax analysis and identify potential tax optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including tax authorities and auditors.
- Stay up-to-date on evolving tax laws and regulations
- Reconcile IFRS vs BEGAAP taxation
- Prepare and submit monthly VAT and Intrastat reports
- Analyze tax documents and financial statements
- Identify potential tax savings and opportunities
- Develop fiscal reports and presentations for management or clients
A successful Generalist Tax Specialist should have:
- Advanced degree in Tax Law or Finance
- Proven experience in Belgian tax compliance (BIG4 + in-house position is a strong advantage)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge in SAP or Oracle or JD Edwards
- Real team player, able to bridge the collaboration with local team and business center teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and Dutch or French
