SABCA Brussels is also the home to our "Unmanned Autonomous Systems" aka: the drones solutions unit As a Facility Technician, you are responsible for the maintenance, management, and optimization of facilities and technical installations within our organization. You play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, efficient, and comfortable work environment. You collaborate closely with colleagues from the facility department, external parties, and other departments within the organization. Tasks and Responsibilities Technical Maintenance: Performing maintenance and repairs on building-related installations. Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving malfunctions in installations and facilities. If necessary, you contact external parties. Facility Management: Ensuring a well-functioning workplace, including maintaining furniture, lighting, and general building components. Inspections and Certifications: Conducting or coordinating statutory inspections and certifications of installations and tools. Inventory Management: Managing technical materials and tools and timely purchasing replacement parts. Reporting: Keeping maintenance reports and work orders and advising on improvements or necessary investments. Projects: Assisting in facility and technical projects, such as renovations or improvements within a given budget. Requirements Education: A completed technical education (e.g., MBO level 3/4 in Electrical Engineering, Installation Technology, or Mechanical Engineering). Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a facility or technical environment. Knowledge: Good knowledge of facility management, technical installations, and general safety standards. Skills: Ability to work independently and solve problems. Strong communication skills and customer-oriented approach. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Certifications: Possession of a VCA Basic Safety certificate (or willingness to obtain it). Language: Good knowledge of Dutch or French; knowledge of English is a plus. So, What’s in it for you?
