As part of the DevOps team, you work on and deploy the CI/CD infrastructure. At the base are tools to help automate the parts of software development related to building, testing, and deploying, facilitating continuous integration and continuous delivery. It are server-based systems that run in servlet containers. You use configuration automation (cookbooks, roles, environments, chef-vault), Tools like Docker for service and build containers, tools for the storage of binaries and tools for version control of the code. All to be integrated in the cloud for automated node management. For gluing it all together a combination of various scripting languages are required:Python, Ruby, Bash, SQL, Jenkinsfiles and Makefiles are usedIt isn’t uncommon for DevOps to be called to mentor software developers and architecture teams within an organization to teach them how to create software that is easily scalable. They also collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure quality releases. Some DevOps teams include DevSecOps, which applies DevOps principles to proactive security measures.DevOps Engineers need to develop looking at the big picture. Infrastructure planning is what DevOps Engineers are hired to do. The ability to plan integrations and additions across many systems, is what separates the Cloud Database Manager from the DevOps Engineer.Who will you work with?You are part of an End-to-End Open Source, Devops & Open Network Infra team.You will work with Client’s Business & Technical employees to capture, discuss, create, build, deliver & verify Agile Cloud solutions.You work on flexible daily basis, on-site at client’s office, at DVT’s or Home-office. The practice manager is your responsible manager, your guide concerning career pathQualificationsTechnical Skills and Experience:Programming and Scripting: Knowledge of at least one scripting language (, Python, Bash) and familiarity with programming concepts.Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for automating the setup and management of infrastructure.Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) including the management of cloud infrastructure and services.Containers and Orchestration: Experience with containerization tools (Kubernetes, OpenShift) for deploying and managing containerized applications.Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions to automate testing and deployment processes.Version Control Systems: Proficient in using version control systems, especially Git, for source code management.Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) for keeping track of the system's health and troubleshooting issues.Networking and Security Basics: Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, SSL/TLS) and basic security practices.Educational Background:A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields is preferred.Certifications in cloud platforms, Linux administration, virtualization, IaC, container orchestration or security can be beneficial.Soft Skills:Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.Collaboration and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with development and operations teams.Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments.Attention to Detail: Precision in code and system configurations to ensure high-quality outcomes.Project Management: Basic project management skills to handle tasks, timelines, and deliverables.Experience:Hands-on experience in a DevOps role, demonstrating proficiency in managing development and deployment workflows.Demonstrated history of successful projects where DevOps practices were appliedAdditional InformationWhy choose us?Cutting-edge Technology: Embrace the latest advancements in IT and digital technologies as we constantly innovate to stay ahead of the competition.
