Make your mark for patientsWe are looking for a DS Project Leader who is strategic, collaborative, and solution-oriented to join our Drug Substance Process Sciences team, based at our UCB campus located in Braine-l'Alleud, Walloon Brabant, Belgium.About the roleYou will lead one or more drug substance development projects from preclinical to Phase 3. You are going to define and implement integrated strategies, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes aligned with UCB’s CMC goals.Who you will work withYou’ll be joining a dynamic team that values innovation, scientific excellence, and patient-centric development. Your ability to ask the right questions, share knowledge, and contribute meaningfully will be essential to thrive in this role.What you will doYou will lead DS sub-teams and represent them in Technical Satellite Teams (TST).You will be responsible for defining and executing integrated DS strategies.You will manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables with precision.You will facilitate technical discussions and co-develop functional plans.You will identify and mitigate project risks proactively.You will contribute to regulatory submissions and knowledge management.For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skillsYou hold a PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field.You have at least 8 years of experience in CMC pharmaceutical development.You bring strong expertise in process chemistry.You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.You demonstrate strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.You are skilled in risk management and strategic decision-making.You have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.You are open-minded, able to see the bigger picture, and willing to step outside your comfort zone.You are proactive, ready to support others, and eager to share knowledge as a team player.You know how to ask the right questions to drive progress and clarity.Are you ready to ‘go beyond’ to create value and make your mark for patients?
