POLITICO is looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer to join our Technology team to build and enhance Salesforce functionalities. This role reports directly to the Global CRM Director, working with a diverse admins and developers team. We're embarking on an exciting project to merge multiple Salesforce orgs into a single instance, collaborating with an external vendor. Post-merger, the focus will shift to ongoing enhancements and user training. This position offers significant growth potential within our CRM ecosystem.

**What you’ll do**

Our Salesforce team is responsible for empowering our Sales, Events, Marketing and Finance business teams with tools that help them efficiently perform their day-to-day activities and aid to set business strategy. We're looking for an agile and tenacious Senior Developer who will play an integral role in developing and maintaining our Sales and Marketing solutions. You will have enormous opportunities to learn, and we’ll trust you to come up with ideas and best practices that positively influence CRM growth.

**What you’ll need**
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of professional programming experience
- Advanced knowledge of Salesforce governance, including security models and sharing rules
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform limits and optimization techniques
- Experience in defining product pricing and bundling in CPQ
- Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices and version control systems (e.g., Git) in Salesforce development
- Ability to architect scalable solutions that align with business objectives
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to coach junior colleagues within the team
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or II and Salesforce Certified Administrator

**We would love to see (nice to have)**
- Relevant Salesforce certifications in Integration, Architecture, Identity and Access Management
- Knowledge of Marketing Cloud/Marketo
- Understanding of post-sales processes (invoicing, billing, revenue) and FinancialForce (now Certinia)
- Experience in media or publishing industry
