- ING is looking for a team lead Finance Business Advice who will help realizing the strategic priorities of ING in Belgium.
- You will be managing a team of Finance professionals and as a team you will make an impact by supporting ING’s management team in all financial aspects and contribute to make a difference for our customers.
- Your key responsibilities
- You will join the Finance Business Advice (FBA) team of ING Belgium, a department
- which consists of approximately 40 finance professionals who advice the board and senior management of ING Belgium. Our purpose is to be “A pro-active partner empowering the business with valuable information and advice”, driven by our values with “our data is always right” at the core. We take ownership, have the expertise, we communicate clear and easy and we challenge and advice. You will be the team lead for one of the FBA teams in Belgium.
- Together with your team, you deliver robust and reliable financial reporting and thoroughly analyse the monthly financial results. You understand and explain towards the management deviations versus budget and changes in trends. In-depth analysis are made to support the business for strategic decision making and to further develop their business.
- You will act as a trusted finance advisor for the responsible executive committee member’s management team. You will be responsible for providing specialized advise and insight on the financial developments of the business and to lead the in periodic financial forecasting and the budgeting process.
- You are eager to look for possible efficiencies in our processes and to improve them.
- You will be involved in different projects related to the business you are responsible for and will be asked to take end-to-end financial responsibility from the business case conceptualization to the follow-up of the realizations.
- In your role as Lead Finance Business Advisor you will also trigger, lead and be involved in several ad hoc analysis on different topics impacting the long term sustainability of the financials of ING Belgium.

- As a Lead for Finance Business Advise you will also need:
- a relevant master degree, preferably in economics, business studies;
- good knowledge of English, Dutch and/or French;
- good knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- at least 5 to 10 years relevant work-experience, preferably in financial controlling and business advice;
- An analytical and structured mindset: you enjoy understanding the underlying evolution of figures and make analyses to give explanations and advice to your stakeholders;
- a clear communication style: you are able to translate data to understandable information to different stakeholders;
In addition, you are willing to take on different topics at the same time and take the lead to make process improvements happen. You are a team player towards your own team and fellow FBA lead colleagues. You enjoy contributing to larger topics in collaboration with the broader Finance community in Belgium and at Group level.
