Wesmart is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our growing team in Brussels, Belgium. As a scale up company specialized in digital platform and services for renewable energy communities, Wesmart is committed to reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions through collective participation and cutting-edge technologies. Our COO will play a critical role in driving our strategic vision and growth, as well as ensuring operational excellence across the organization.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Provide leadership and oversight for all operational functions of the company
- Work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to develop and execute the company's strategic vision and growth plans
- Build and manage processes and systems that ensure operational excellence and efficiency
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across the organization
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of professionals across various functions, including engineering, customer success, and operations
- Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and metrics to drive growth and profitability
- Represent Wesmart externally with customers, partners, investors, and other stakeholders

**Qualifications, experience and skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- At least 10 years of experience in operations, management consulting, or a related field; experience in a high-growth start-up or scale up environment preferred
- Background in the renewable energy or sustainability sector preferred
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and efficiency
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute on complex initiatives
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in Dutch and English; French language skills a plus

Wesmart is op zoek naar een Chief Operating Officer (COO) om ons groeiende team in Brussel, België te leiden. Als een scale-upbedrijf dat gespecialiseerd is in digitaal platform en diensten voor hernieuwbare-energiegemeenschappen, zet Wesmart zich in om energieverbruik en koolstofemissies te verminderen door collectieve participatie en baanbrekende technologieën. Onze COO zal een cruciale rol spelen bij het stimuleren van onze strategische visie en groei, evenals het waarborgen van operationele uitmuntendheid binnen de organisatie.

**Wat je gaat doen**:

- Leiding geven en toezicht houden op alle operationele functies van het bedrijf
- Samenwerken met de CEO en andere senior leiders om de strategische visie en groeiplannen van het bedrijf te ontwikkelen en uit te voeren
- Processen en systemen opbouwen en beheren die operationele uitmuntendheid en efficiëntie garanderen
- Een cultuur van samenwerking, innovatie en verantwoording binnen de organisatie bevorderen
- Een hoog presterend team van professionals leiden en ontwikkelen over verschillende functies, waaronder engineering, klantsucces en operaties
- Budgetten, financiële prognoses en metrics ontwikkelen en beheren om groei en winstgevendheid te stimuleren
- Wesmart extern vertegenwoordigen bij klanten, partners, investeerders en andere belanghebbenden

**Kwalificaties, ervaring en vaardigheden**:

- Bachelor's degree in bedrijfskunde, engineering of een gere
