**ELEONOR** started its activities in 2007 as an R&D Center with a focus on improving the bioavailability and bio-accessibility of poorly soluble natural ingredients for the Food
Supplement, Health & Wellness markets, both human and animal.

Their mission is to turn **poorly soluble, science-based active ingredients into high
- performance, instantly cold water dispersible and soluble powders with high bioavailability and efficacy. **Moreover, ELEONOR customs and produce high-performance ingredients with specific functionalities for brands and ingredients manufacturers to give them a competitive edge in the marketplace.

With an externalized production, this human-sized team focuses its work on R&D planning management, IP & patents, and preclinical and clinical management. **Driven by Science and professionalism**, their ambition is to keep making the Belgian team grow.

In order to strengthen ELEONOR’s team (in Walloon Brabant or Liège, Belgium), we are looking for a **Chief Operating Officer** (M/F).

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Reporting directly to the CEO and as part of the executive committee, you oversee the whole operations management for the preclinical and clinical, business, and daily activities of the Company.
As CEO’s right-hand, you take care of daily R&D, BD and strategic activities and support him to develop the company.

Your main responsibilities are:

- **Inward looking - Operations**:_
- Coordinate the lab activities: manage the teams, plan, and follow-up daily R&D tasks.
- Manage preclinical and clinical projects, including development, review and approval of documentation (e.g. protocols, investigator’s brochure), identification and selection of service providers, EC/CA submissions, and regulatory reporting.
- Select the international vendors that will register LEO-HB® products on the various markets (US Self affirmed as GRAS and full GRAS, EU novel food, etc.) and implement the R&D plans needed to obtain registrations.
- **Inward looking - Management**:_
- Together with the CEO, define the company's pre-clinical and clinical development strategy and budgets, and monitor expenditure.
- **Outward looking - Business Development**:_
- Play a key-role in developing the company's scientific marketing and communications: prepare and present scientific results; provide scientific trainings to sales supports.
- Take part in various events such as trade shows, fairs, symposia, etc.

**PROFILE**
- You hold a PhD or Master’s degree in Health Sciences, Life Sciences, or related medical/scientific field.
- You have **8-10 years’ experience **in the development of pre-clinical and clinical para
- pharmaceutical and/or (bio-)pharmaceutical projects and team management.
- Acting as the right-hand of the CEO, you have an excellent sense of responsibilities and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Ability to navigate both ends of the scale: from strategic leadership to operational management.
- You are passionate about your work and have an international outlook to help develop the Company's activities.
- Confidently humble, results driven, and able to create team spirit and strong collaboration, you are a team player yourself.
- Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English & French.
