As an **Information Security Specialist**, your work will be central to that mission
Within Information Security, we create a foundational layer, taking into account the organization’s strategy, relevant regulations and standards we follow. This is processed into actionable controls, which the organization has committed to executing.
Join our team as an **Information Security Specialist**, where you’ll have a key role in supporting and shaping how security is implemented within the organization, which has a direct impact on how the organization functions (securely)
**What you'll do**
You will support through the following activities:
- ** Preparing and executing audits**: We are dedicated to radiating externally that we take security seriously. That is why we maintain a SOC 2 Type 2 attestation, as well as an ISO27001 certificate. These are the result of an audit process, in which you will play your part
- ** Security execution**: In Information Security, there are several key exercises we must perform. These include strategy reviews and reporting to the organization through the Information Security Steerco. Additionally, we conduct Risk Assessments, sample test the proper execution of controls, and provide evidence to ensure compliance with our defined security measures.
- ** Support Security Roadmap**: To ensure we continuously improve, Security defines its own roadmap. You will be able to contribute to the execution, or even own some of the initiatives.
**Who you are**:
To thrive in this role, a passion for security is essential. However, the following skills are essential to succeed in this role:
- You have up to 4 years of professional experience in Information Security.
- You have an inherent drive to understand the bigger picture, always seeking to gain a thorough and comprehensive understanding of problems.
- Your strong communication skills enable you to bridge gaps and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
- As a diplomat, you excel at finding solutions that benefit all parties involved, while keeping the best interests of your function and organization at the forefront.
- You're based in Belgium and excited to work together with the TechWolf team in our Ghent office at least three days per week.
- Familiarity with audits, information security, and technical expertise are a plus
