E&PS, part of the Janssen Supply Chain Group, a member of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is recruiting a Facility Manager for the JSC production buildings in Beerse and Olen. The position will be based in Beerse, Belgium.
Taking care of our assets is important to support the Janssen Supply Chain activities in Beerse and Olen representing 5 billion $ of sales/year. The pharmaceutical production activities at these sites serve 5 patients per second with products like: Invega, Visine, Nizoral, Tylenol, Zyrtec, Motrin. Therefor we need to ensure reliable, compliant, safe and cost-effective facilities.
Operating and maintaining the facility (24/7), infrastructure management and business services will be your main focus next to delivering a safe, compliant, efficient, and effective workplace.
**Major Responsibilities**:
- Mentor / lead a team of engineers/planners, technicians and lead site level relationships with key stakeholder and external partners.
- Responsible for the daily exploitation of utilities and energy systems for buildings on the Beerse site supporting Janssen Supply Chain, Pharmaceutical Development and Deliver activities.
- Serve as primary point of contact towards building users, quality, EHS, compliance and E&PS-organisation.
- System owner during start-up/construction phase of new projects and installation and liaison between business units and contractors during planning / construction as needed.
- Ensure compliance with global Health Authority regulations / guidelines and internal operating procedures processes. Participate in Health Authority inspections and internal audits.
- Implement and maintain business continuity plans and infrastructure management programs.
- Be responsible for the long-range financial plan and annual maintenance budgets.
- Solve all problems related to the installations and systems having an impact on safety, environment, sustainability, cost and reliability.
- Establish a culture focused on professionalism and continuous improvement based on KPI’s, benchmarking and sharing best practices between sites and departments.
- Ensure compliance with local, federal and relevant international regulations (e.g. FDA, FAGG,).
**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
- Master’s degree in engineering, architecture, life sciences etc. or equivalent experience required
**Experience, Skills & Knowledge**:
- Minimum of 5+ years facilities management experience in utilities and maintenance with excellent knowledge in water systems, HVAC and GxP compliance
- Experienced in GxP and quality management
- Strong personal leadership with demonstrated proficiency working within teams and strong relationship building skills is required.
- Demonstrate proficiency in both spoken and written Dutch, while English represents an advantage.
- Open minded and capable to implement best practices and technological renewal
