Tasks
As a (Senior) Security Operations Engineering Manager located in Belgium your role is twofold.

On the one hand, you will be the technical leader of a team of Cyber Security Consultants; these consultants are assigned to customer projects in the field of SOC engineering (log onboarding, SIEM), detection engineering (MDR) and automation and orchestration (SOAR). You will guide them through their personal career growth and be a local spokesperson for the Global Solution Lead.

On the other hand, you are a solution expert for all services delivered by the Security Operations Engineering team; you are able to translate business requirements to technical implementation plans and project plans. Your strong foundation in cyber security and practical experience in a SOC helps you to organize, define and manage complicated projects in the field SOC Engineering, detection engineering, SOAR and incident response.

Typical tasks include but are not limited to:

Create Statements of Work, project plans, requirements definitions,… for projects running in your team;

Support the evaluation cycle of your team members;

Engage with customers and assure a fruitful partnership at all times;

Coach engineers in their daily activities;

Perform technical account management duties for specific top-tier, strategic clients;

Assure you are continuously up to speed with latest trends and technologies in the SOC field.

You are passionate about cyber security and SOC operations. You enjoy coaching a team, assure continuous growth and working with people in general.

Requirements

You hold citizenship in one of the 32 NATO member states;

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field;

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCFA or equivalent are highly desirable;

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a SOC environment and a liking for structuring and coordinating security operating tasks or project management experience;

Strong leadership and team-building skills;

Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices;

Experience with security technologies such as SIEM, SOAR and endpoint protection and detection;

Excellent communication skills in English and German;

Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks while maintaining strict attention to detail;

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;

Soft skills

Being able to work independently, keep track of your priorities;

Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communications skills that enable the ability to work;

Effectively in a collaborative team environment across the entire company;

Positive, team and mission-oriented attitude;

Ability to prepare and present your work to your colleagues.
