Group Finance Trainee

Eager to contribute to this as well? **You will work #Forahealthierfuture** In your Traineeship finance, you will get the opportunity to work at group level of a multinational, listed company with a very clear purpose: to make lives healthier. You will start in the Treasury team, where in the first year of your employment, you will be taught the ins & outs of treasury management. During & after your time in the treasury team, you will get the opportunity to participate in projects of the other financial teams as for example financial controlling, reporting & consolidation & tax. This will give you the possibility to learn from the different financial expertises and to find your place within Greenyard: at group, divisional or local level. Your initial treasury responsibilities will be: - Ensuring that treasury activities are carried out in accordance with approved policies and guidelines; - Responsible for certain front-office activities, including the follow-up and processing of group hedging transactions (currency and interest rates), confirmation and settlement, money market, fixed income and treasury related bank transfers; - Managing the opening, closing and maintenance of group bank accounts, the setup and maintenance of group operating and dealing bank mandates, and the bank guarantee records; - Maintaining the group electronic banking platform and treasury management systems ensuring a correct recording of all transactions and overseeing technical upgrades as required; - Optimising treasury workflows and leading automation where possible and desired; - Developing and maintaining treasury policies, processes, procedures, systems and control environment in line with best practices; - Ensuring accurate reporting of treasury transactions including month end’s close, reconciliations, IFRS mark to market valuations, hedge accounting, statutory accounts and notes to the year-end financial statements, in close contact with the accounting department; - Managing the Treasury department’s customary internal and external audit processes and engagement with auditors; - Ensuring good and smooth communication with partner banks and with the different local business partners within the group. **Nice to meet you** - You have a university degree in finance, accounting or economics, or similar by experience; - Interest in corporate treasury or banking is desirable; - You have strong operational skills with a feeling for numbers; - You are known for your rigorous mindset; - You are a teamplayer, looking forward to business partnering with local entities and divisions and working closely together with other (commercial/financial) professionals within the business; - Good communication skills where balance is found between a commercial mindset and reaching financial objectives; - Very good knowledge of English (written and orally). Dutch knowledge is a strong asset.
