**Job Purpose**

Technical Lead - Brussels

**Technical Lead**
- Full responsibility for all aspects of Technical Facilities Management within your area of responsibility in accordance to contractual obligations.
- Ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance and reactive work orders are administrated from conception to completion in-line with required contracted Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Ensuring complete adherence to Statutory and Mandatory Legislation compliance in Health & Safety and Environmental legislation
- Ensure that all equipment and services are maintained and operated in a safe condition to comply with Health & Safety.
- Monitor regular inspection procedures (preventative maintenance programme) of equipment.
- Record and keep logs of inspection reports and remedial work.
- Maintain a working knowledge of statutory regulations and to ensure awareness of all safety procedures.
- Ensure all third party contractors are managed in line with company policy.
- To effectively manage within financial and commercial targets, ensuring all margins are controlled and managed within the parameters of agreed budgets.
- To continuously develop and improve the quality of the services provided, in accordance to company and client objectives.
- To recruit, induct, train, develop and motivate your team of technicians and handymen, creating internal succession and business continuity plans.
- To manage all aspects of people management, including conflict, grievance and disciplinary in-line with company process and policy.
- To produce business management information monthly reports as determined for customers' and Mitie.
- Good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance.
- Ability to record work accurately on work sheets and computer-based systems
- Must be available to join a call out rota.

**Knowledge Skills & Experience**
- Qualified to degree level or M&E Trade Qualifications or equivalent experience in similar role
- Membership of appropriate organisation desirable
- MBIFM, IOSH managing safely or NEBOSH cert
- Minimum of 5 years' experience managing Integrated Facilities Management (hard services)
- Strong people management and leaders skills
- Sound understanding or equivalent experience of NEC3 contracts
- Financial and commercial acumen
- Operational experience in the Government sector, particularly in contracts within Central Government, or with other large public-sector bodies
- Local Security Clearance will be required for the successful applicant
- Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.
