Context

Bank Degroof Petercam, a financial institution specialized in private banking and wealth management, headquartered in Brussels and operating 15 branch offices across the country, is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Security & Hard Services Manager for its Facilities & Real Estate department.

Your position

As Senior Security & Hard Services Manager, you will be responsible for the strategy, coordination, and management of security services and technical infrastructure for the headquarters and the 15 branch offices in Belgium. You will ensure a secure, compliant, and fully operational environment, while optimizing costs and service quality.

You will work closely with the Head of Facilities & Real Estate and the department’s leadership team, and you will manage an operational team.

You will oversee all aspects of your field of activity in order to contribute to the mission of the Facilities & Real Estate department: to support the business by delivering services, while creating and maintaining an attractive, sustainable, and secure workplace for both internal and external clients.

Your main responsibilities will include, among others:
Physical & Electronic Security:

- Define and implement the security policy for the bank’s network (access control, video surveillance, alarms, fire safety, etc.), as well as the related protocols and procedures.
- Supervise security and surveillance service providers for headquarters and branch offices.
- Ensure compliance with local and European standards (GDPR, ISO, fire safety, legal obligations, and the Belgian Code of Well-being at Work).
- Monitor security installations and equipment.
- Manage incidents and regularly conduct risk assessments and vulnerability tests to identify potential weaknesses, recommending and implementing solutions to mitigate them.

Hard Services & Technical Maintenance:

- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of technical installations: HVAC, high and low voltage electricity, elevators, fire detection systems, plumbing, etc.
- Ensure the smooth operation of headquarter and branch office buildings.
- Manage subcontracting contracts, tenders, and SLAs.
- Supervise the technical aspects of renovation, compliance, or expansion projects.
- Implement KPIs and performance dashboards.

Multi-Site Coordination:

- Ensure consistency in technical and security standards across all branches.
- Conduct regular site visits and field audits.
- Adapt solutions to local specificities (size, usage, risks).

Leadership & Reporting:

- Lead, motivate, and develop an internal operational team of 7 security/technical employees, while coordinating external service providers.
- Work closely with the HSE, IT, and Risk Management teams to ensure the technical and security compliance of critical infrastructure.
- Draft internal procedures and working methods.
- Provide regular reporting on incidents, risks, costs, projects, and ongoing action plans.

Your scope of responsibility covers both the Brussels headquarters and the 15 branch offices across Belgium. You will report directly to the Head of Facilities & Real Estate.

**Profile**:

- Degree in engineering, facility management, security, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in the banking sector or a multi-site environment.
- Strong ability to manage complex technical and security projects.
- Solid knowledge of security systems, protocols, and procedures.
- Strong expertise in preventive and corrective maintenance of technical installations.
- Proven leadership, results-driven mindset, with strong organizational and service orientation.
- Excellent knowledge of ISO standards and Belgian and European regulations.
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Proficiency in French and Dutch (English is an asset).
