Context
Based in our offices in Brussels, the Information Risk Manager fulfills a second line control function regarding Information Security and IT Risk within the Group. She/He reports to the Head of ORM in the Operational Risk Management department.
Your Position
The IT Risk team is part of the second line of defence. Your role within the team includes a number of tasks among the following:
- Promoting and sharing best practices with first line entities, and supporting them in the implementation of an effective control framework
- Participating to the definition and review of Group information security policies and internal standards and guidelines;
- Conducting/facilitating/assisting in internal and external IT risk and security assessments across the Group
- Reviewing IT and business projects to identify potential Information Security and other IT risks, together with the business and IT stakeholders
- Monitoring of IT Risk and Security and other first line activities, including designing and executing the 2nd line control plan
- Following-up regulatory, business and technical evolutions and identifying the subsequent changes
- Participating to Information security change and incident management processes as an independent party
- Participating to the design and delivery of a comprehensive group-wide awareness program
- Participating to large scale projects driven by the risk department
- Analysing and challenging security and IT risk analyses for projects involving new activities, new products or subcontracting;
- Linking activities to business continuity management (BCP/DRP);
Your Profile
- You own a degree in a scientific or financial area, or equivalent by experience
- You can demonstrate sound common sense, a sharp understanding of IT and Information Risks, and a good understanding of security and IT processes
- You have a proven first experience (5 - 10 years) in a similar position (IT audit, risk management or information security)
- You have a good understanding of the challenges of the financial industry
- You deploy Outstanding communication skills, both spoken and in writing
- Recognized Security Certifications (CISA, CISM, CISSP, ISO27001,) is an asset, sound understanding of security and other IT Risk areas is required
- You are Fluent in French and/or Dutch (written and spoken) with at least a passive knowledge of the other language, and you can speak, read and write English in a professional context.
- You are stress-resistant
