Hays is looking for a freelance Data Architect for our client at an internationally well-known organization within the life sciences industry. The company is located in the region of Mechelen and is easily accessible by both car and public transport.

**Daily duties**
- Understand the needs of the business in terms of technical requirements
- In charge of the design and delivery of qualitative solutions that will guide the delivery teams
- Alignment between the business unit and the corporate objectives/goals
- Build architectural narratives for ITS and other business stakeholders
- Enable the delivery teams to build the necessary technical knowledge and provide guidance to colleagues

**Profile and Skills**
You have over 5 years of relevant experience as a cloud (data) architect, designer, developer or data engineer. You have experience in leading (both design and delivery) projects related to cloud modernization and cloud-based data platforms. A hands-on working knowledge of topic/solution strategies as data lakes, data fabric, data meshes and data streams is expected in combination with a conceptual and hands-on working knowledge of AWS data capabilities. An analytical & innovative spirit together with great communication skills in English are important. Experience in the following matters is expected: Snowflake, Airflow, Oracle, SQL, Python. Knowledge of the following matters is a plus: Data science, Machine learning, Deep learning, Artificial intelligence.
