Description**

This position will support development and monitoring of A&H EMEA UW strategy, will be responsible for driving high-performance within the A&H profit centres playing a key role in the delivery of the Regional A&H strategy. Reporting to the A&H Regional Underwriting Manager -EMEA, you will work with an experienced team to help drive profitability and growth.
Responsibilities include delivering on underwriting strategic objectives including overseeing adherence to pricing guardrails. In addition, the role will play an important role to build, drive and implement the A&H business of tomorrow supporting country PD and governance according to global guideline. Proficient understanding of the A&H business model E2E, group and individual product suite, underwriting methodology, and the risks we assume.
Coordinate underwriting excellence across the A&H product line, by establishing and ensuring adherence to risk appetite, line setting, standards and guidelines, and ensure rating and pricing adequacy;
- Ensure business written within the A&H profit centre is in line Insurance risk policy;
- Ensure an appropriate pricing strategy is set within the A&H profit centre;
- Ensure that accurate and timely management information is produced for senior management;
- Review and support the implementation of regional underwriting guidelines to set out how strategic objectives are to be executed within the A&H profit centre;
- Implement appropriate delegations of underwriting authority, and to ensure these are documented, communicated and adherence to these is monitored;
- Act as referral point for Country Lead Underwriters and prepare Home office referrals;
- Oversight of contractual documentation including policy wording sign-off;
- Manage and monitor multinational business, building successful partnerships and unlock opportunities across the Region;
- Provide comment and analysis on financial metrics reporting as produced by A&H profit centers;
- Support administration of reinsurance treaties are in place and to put in place facultative and local treaty reinsurance where required to meet strategic objectives of the A&H profit centre;
- Ensure that adequate documentation is maintained to meet internal quality control and external regulatory and legal needs;
- Demonstrate understanding of regulatory and compliance processes and actively participate in relevant governance committees;
- Drive collaborative behaviour across the wider business.

Technical Skills and Expertise:

- At least several years insurance underwriting experience, including oversight over multiple products, channels and geographies;
- Deep expertise in A&H, expert technical underwriting background;
- Broad and extensive A&H underwriting exposure;
- Reinsurance experience;
- Strong understanding of aggregation monitoring;
- Strong analysis skills with proven ability of managing complex data to make sound commercial decisions;
- Knowledge of market segmentation, portfolio management, acquisition and distribution;
- Demonstrated business savy, analytical and quantitative skills.
