Your Mission
The Senior Account Manager Belgium is responsible for the accounting of 3 legal entities representing 1 operational plant and 2 financial entities in Belgium.
Position is located in Zaventem.
Your Responsibilities
- Key result area 1 - Accounting_
- Supervision of all accounting activities within the geographical area of responsibilities, for both plants and legal entities.
- Closing and compliance of the organizations within the geographical area of responsibilities.
- Coordination of statutory reporting.
- Single point of contact for statutory audits, internal audits, and tax/vat audits.
- Responsible for all bookkeeping activities, inclusive payment flow and re-bill ICO-costs.
- Reporting to the Group reporting Manager
- Responsible of the accounting team of Belgium
- Balance sheet controls and reconciliations
- Timely tax declarations (VAT,)
- Responsible for all necessary reconciliations (e.g., VAT, social security,)
- Responsible for all intercompany reconciliations
- Controls on local rules (bookkeeping and fiscal) and be sure the necessary provisions are booked.
- Controls on due dates (monthly reports, special items like tax audits.)
- Controls on completeness and correctness of invoicing (customers and suppliers)
- Preparation statutory closings audits
- Preparation statutory reporting
- Key result area 2 - Support activities_
- Supports and coordinates 2 different ERP (one of them is SAP)
Your Profile
- Business education with an accounting background
- 10 years experience of being responsible for accounting
- You have experience in managing a team
- You have comprehensive knowledge in business figures and laws
- You have excellent Office skills
- You are fluent in Dutch, good in English
- Having knowledge of SAP is a plus
