- He manages and administers the company's data management systems, ensuring their consistency, quality and security. He participates in the definition and implementation of the database and software packages selected by the company ADMINISTRATION:

- Makes the choice of databases implementation
- Created the databases in interaction with the system administrator and the project managers concerned
- Implements databases management software. Adapts, administers and maintains this software
- Operates and manages data servers (administration, automation, development of procedures, security and access authorization, optimization of processing and requests, etc.)
- Creates, at the request of the domains or the exploitation, the specific exploitation assistance tools.
- OPERATION:

- Ensures the integrity of existing databases by guaranteeing physical (backup procedures, restoration, logging, startup after incidents, etc.) and logical (confidentiality, access) security.
- Implements monitoring tools
- Adjusts the parameters of the databases for optimal use.
- SUPPORT:

- Assists users (training, technical requests, etc.)
- Performs second level technical support for all databases
- Has a role of technical correspondent between project managers and technical support of publishers
- STUDIES AND CONTROLS:

- Ensures a technological watch on the DBMS and the software retained by the company
- Tracks and monitors changes in version of existing databases and software retained by the company
- Tests, validates, for technical aspects, all software and software packages
- Defines norms and standards for the use and exploitation of DBMS
