Data Business Consultant for Finance Domain

At Telenet, Data & Analytics are recognized as the fuel & engine under the hood, and we are looking for a colleague to strengthen the Business Insights Delivery team as a Data Enablers working for the Finance domain. As a Data Enabler, you will help our organization to make decisions, not by gut feeling, but based on facts and data. You are the one translating the data into reports and strategic insights that help enhance the experience of our customers and the performance of our company.

**Your tasks as a senior Data Analyst / Business Consultant**:

- You develop curiosity and understanding of business context and processes which positions you as a perfect data partner to our business teams
- You understand the business context and processes underlying the business requests and can reformulate it into a clear insights question and actual data work
- You collect, query, clean, validate and manipulate the data you need from different sources
- You define, build and automate reporting dashboards relevant for the business topic you are working on
- You develop a proactive partnership with your stakeholders so that our data assets can help them as efficiently as possible
- You perform deep-dive analyses on specific insights requests that lead to actionable recommendations for the business colleagues
- You take initiatives to enhance the adoption of data solutions and the data fluency of your business stakeholders
- You build and maintain a strong relationship with the dataset product managers
- To know all about the datasets and available data for your reporting domain
- To send requirements to add or improve datasets based on business feedback
- You take an active role in the community of data analysts within Telenet, through sharing sessions, inspiration and coaching

- You have a **drive to manage an analytics initiative end to end **, including effective storytelling and stakeholder management
- Ability to present the results to the business in a compelling and insightful way. It’s not enough to show the extracted numbers - they have to tell a story.
- Ability to explain difficult terms to the business in a clear business-friendly language. Avoiding data lingo and technical terms.
- Ability to empathize with the stakeholders - display genuine curiosity in their commercial problems and seek together with your colleagues for the best solutions data can offer.
- Hard skills:

- Knowledge of **SQL **and willingness to learn more
- Affinity with **Data Visualization **; preferably Qlik Sense, though Power BI or Tableau are also fine. Willing to learn data visualization software Qlik Sense via self-learning videos we provide
- Very good understanding of **Excel **and especially Pivot tables
- Fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch/French is a bonus
- You have a relevant experience or degree and you are passionate about Data
- Master's degree in a quantitative field (business engineering, TEW, computer science, information management...) or equivalent through experience
- Work experience in a Data or Business Analyst role
