Your role will be to develop the Medtronic Cardiac Ablation Solutions business with existing and new technologies. In line with the Sales Managers guidelines in the defined sales territory, you will strive to meet and exceed financial and non-financial targets, in a way that enhances Medtronic’s reputation in the market. You will work across Belgium to develop and implement broader service innovation solutions like referral pathway optimization and other healthcare projects that drive access to the appropriate treatment options for Cardiac Ablations. You will be the driving force, together with the team to gain market share and implement new technologies. You will work with all relevant stakeholders from both hospitals and referrers (both clinical and non-clinical).

You will develop a thorough understanding of the therapy areas; you will be able to show a high level of market development, commercial and therapeutic awareness.

**A Day in the Life**

We offer you a position where your responsibilities include.
- Analyse the marketplace, develop an effective territory/account sales strategy, and present the strategy to management to gain approval for implementation.
- Thoroughly understand and sell the indications and supporting evidence for the Therapy to Electrophysiologists.
- Perform all activities to maximize sales (in line with the sales strategy and Medtronic BCS) from product introduction, presentation, contract negotiation to completion of invoicing.
- Monitor and secure that all accounts receive targeting and coverage according to sales managers' guidelines.
- Supporting the project and market development functions for accounts spread over Belgium.
- Identify new opportunities to expand the use of the products in the territory including new indications by-products (depth), and wider product adoption in accounts (breadth).
- Identify (or collaborate with clinical stakeholders to create) and leverage clear referral pathways internally in the hospitals to drive therapy expansion and service innovation.
- Further develop existing accounts by expanding into new therapies and service innovation and develop entirely new accounts.
- Support the execution of the national marketing plan and maximise programs/tactics generated.
- Identify all stakeholders (cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, head nurses, procurement, pharmacy, others) and maintain regular contact with them.
- Identify and address all key decision makers (clinical, administrative /economic) key opinion leaders and key referrals in all accounts.
- Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders on the country and territory levels and develop new local Key Opinion Leaders to support the use of the products and service innovation.
- Monitor current tenders and prepare/build tender submissions with internal stakeholders.
- Attend and participate in key professional congresses and events as required.
- Conduct and monitor asset management and stock levels according to guidelines.
- In conjunction with other members of the team, plan sales coverage/resources in the most effective and economical manner.
- Communicate divisional marketing messages to customers as fed through Swiss HQ.

**Must Haves**
- Fluent in French and Dutch.
- Bachelor degree
- Strong selling experience within the medical device industry, ideally in a sales and / or marketing/market development position.
- Proven track record of experience developing and implementing strategy.
- Thorough knowledge of the decision-making process with customers (economic buyer, reimbursement).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team-oriented.
- Conceptual/consultative selling skills.
- Ability to quickly establish credibility with all levels of the customer base.
- Flexible with time/agenda and eager to learn.

**Nice to Haves**
- Knowledge of Cardiology.
- Passion for the medical industry
- Technical flair would be a big plus.
