Internal Audit Manager

As an **Internal Audit Manager** you work within all different aspects of our global businesses and organization to monitor and evaluate how well risks are being managed, the business is being governed and how good the internal processes are working.

You provide a consulting service, advising management on how to improve systems and processes and deliver the necessary assurance to our shareholders that our businesses are run effectively.

Your main priority is to make sure that audit risks are investigated versus internal policies and procedures and external laws and regulations. You will come up with cost-effective and actionable solutions to mitigate the company’s risk exposure and this in close collaboration with the auditee. Your focus will go beyond financial and operational processes as other factors such as reputation, information technology, environmental impact and ethics must also be considered.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Identify key risk areas / issues within the organization through analysis / interviews and propose appropriate controls to mitigate the risks
- Discuss audit findings and recommendations with both senior and local management and capture these in the audit reports which are then distributed to the relevant people
- Execute and lead specific audit projects (surprise / target audits, ) on request of top management or the Audit Committee
- Regular follow-up on the status of the management action plans + provide support for the audit committee presentations
- Contribute to the sharing of best practices across the group
- Contribute to the digital transformation of the audit function
- Ongoing revision and improvement of the corporate audit programs + identify opportunities to improve the way of remote auditing (via better use of systems and new techniques)
- Providing support and guidance to management on how to handle new opportunities.
- Managing a variety of stakeholders and their expectations through regular meetings and communications
- Review the accuracy and reliability of financial information to management

**Who are we looking for?**
- You are in the possession of a Master degree in business / finance / economics with a minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in internal and/or external audit
- You are willing to travel to our worldwide locations
- You are an extraverted person who feels comfortable within different cultures and languages
- You are a good listener, eager to learn with an analytical mindset and the right attention to detail
- You are an effective communicator, both written and verbally, with the ability to influence all levels of the organization
- You are a tech-savvy person
- Fluent in English, very good knowledge of Dutch and/or French and knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Great knowledge of Excel, SAP, Power BI and Celonis is a plus
