Our client, a reputable international non-profit organization, is seeking a skilled and proactive Foreign Exchange Risk Manager to join their growing treasury team.
In this pivotal role, you'll play a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's financial stability. You'll develop and implement effective strategies to mitigate their exposure to foreign exchange fluctuations, ensuring they can continue delivering their impactful mission without unnecessary financial risk.
**Responsibilities**:
Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive FX risk management framework aligned with the organization's risk tolerance and financial objectives.
Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify and assess potential FX risks arising from the organization's international activities.
Design and execute hedging strategies to mitigate identified FX risks, utilizing a variety of instruments such as forwards, swaps, and options.
Monitor global financial markets and economic indicators to stay informed of potential changes that could impact FX rates.
Prepare regular reports on FX exposure and hedging activities for senior management and the board of directors.
Stay up-to-date on best practices and regulatory requirements for FX risk management in the non-profit sector.
Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and international operations, to ensure effective coordination and alignment of FX risk management practices.
**Qualifications**:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in foreign exchange risk management.
Proven track record of successfully managing FX risk and implementing effective hedging strategies.
Deep understanding of global financial markets, economic factors, and their impact on FX rates.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
