**Will you be our Finance Business Partner that shapes this brand new role?**
**The role of Finance Business Partners (FBP) in Napoleon is to help and enable the business to make better, more informed decisions and identifying commercial opportunities that can add real value.**

Your role as part of the FBP team is to provide 'real time' financial analysis and support which will assist the departments you are partnered with to make effective decisions. Your role will have responsibility for ensuring that our opex cost base is reported and managed in an efficient manner in addition to delivering key cost initiatives for the business. You will become a trusted advisor to your partners and help them translate commercial problems into financial outputs. For an applicant to be successful in this role it is critical to have the ability to communicate a message in a concise manner, to understand their audience and deliver the information in a transparent user-friendly manner. A finance business partner will have the ability to influence the decisions that the business makes and help maximise shareholder value.

**Your role**

Although there is a degree of freedom in shaping your role together with your Manager, as a **Finance Business Partner**, you can expect to:

- Act as a trusted advisor to the respective business departments which will include becoming fully up to date with what this department does, their strategic objectives and how your role can fully support them in achieving this; as well as challenging them where appropriate
- Support the departments short and long term operational/strategic business decisions through financial analysis and recommendations to allow informed decision making.
- Perform unprompted investigations into variances in performance and summarise the analysis into succinct, actionable recommendations for your partners or the finance leadership team
- Develop and continuously improve a cost reporting framework which allows Budget Owners to understand the drivers of their cost base and what levers they have to drive change
- Partner with the Executive Team to recommend value for money initiatives, and help drive a culture of cost consciousness across the organisation.
- Ability to trace costs back to underlying activities which supports senior management in the allocation of capital.
- Support the implementation of a Purchase Order System within the organisation for more controlled governance of spend
- Engagement in accounting and system development projects.

**Your profile**
- You have an **University Degree** in Accounting or Finance
- Proven work experience **of at least 5 Years** Cost Accounting work experience
- **Strong interpersonal skills** with ability to understand and breakdown complex data and processes
- A **self-starter**, with a passion for getting under the hood and understanding what is driving business performance, both positive and negative
- Good computer literacy including proficiency in the **MS Office** suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- **Analytical mindset** with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative, unsupervised, as a team player and work with integrity.
- Good written and oral communication skills in both **Dutch and English**.
- Ability to **set up priorities** and complete tasks to schedule and results focussed.
- Strong attention to **detail** and willing to learn and develop within the organisation.
