For our headquarters in Brussels (see the map here) we are looking for a Head of External Communications (M/F/x).

**Job**
**purpose**:
To lead and steer Fluxys’ External Communications team with the ambition to position Fluxys as the essential infrastructure partner to accelerate the energy transition, to contribute to establishing conditions for growth in support of the business strategy and to represent the company in public speaking engagements.

**Your**
**responsibilities**:

- You will be the recognised business partner for strategic and impactful external communication and you will build an inspiring partnership with the leadership team to support strategic priorities
- You will coach senior executives on effective communication and reputation topics
- You will lead an agile communication team, you will ensure that dedicated roles are in place, promote continuous learning and oversee the funding of the team
- You will define the external communication priorities and manage the communication planning
- You will develop a reputation framework and an effective content creation process with an appropriate messaging
- You will define success criteria to measure the effectiveness of media and digital campaigns
- You will oversee the monthly planning of press activities and set clear guidelines for media interactions
- You will oversee the repurposing of content on social media
- You will lead the redesign of the company’s website
- You will represent and protect Fluxys’ brand and interests at various appropriate occasions such as conferences, meetings, visits and forums

**About**
**you**:

- Master’s degree
- Strong experience (15+ years) in an external communication and leadership role
- Experience in an international and multicultural environment would be a strong asset
- Experience leading a team in a cross-company context and setting priorities in line with strategy
- Ability to design a well-defined communication framework and make it evolve as needed
- Experience in crisis communication management
- Strategic and creative thinking, you are both a strategist and an architect of the company’s narrative and strong brand recognition
- Strong business acumen, ability to understand Fluxys’ business model and strategy
- Strong ability to build relationships at all levels
- Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to a constantly changing environment
- Dynamism, adaptability and commitment
- Excellent command of Dutch, French and English
