Infrastructure Resilience Improvement Architect

Task Description:
To further structure and accelerate the resilience initiatives in the IT Infrastructure Domain, we are urgently looking for an experienced IT Architect, with relevant and proven experience in implementing resilience improvement programs in the Domain of IT Infrastructure with success.
You combine theoretical and conceptual knowledge with hands-on experience.
He/she will be a member of the Cloud Integration Dept. in the Cloud Service Centre Division where the resilience improvement initiatives for IT infrastructure are steered and followed up.

Main tasks will be:

- Critical 360° review of resilience improvement initiatives in place. We hereby count on your

battlefield proven experience.
- Integrate the learnings resulting from the Resilience Improvement audits, currently ongoing.
- Compose a comprehensive and structured approach to improve the resilience in the IT

Infrastructure Domain resulting in a multi-year Resilience Improvement Blueprint.
- Although your inputs focus on the IT infrastructure resilience, we expect you to also think along on the End-to-End resilience aspects including Applications and Customer Journeys.
- Contribute to the already defined (short term) IT infrastructure roadmaps and fine-tune the architectural view from a resilience angle.
- Be an evangelist of technological innovations that accelerate our path to increased resilience.
- Challenge the existing ways of doing things, based upon insights gathered with other accounts.

For all these tasks, you always keep an eye on budgetary constraints.

Your profile:
We are looking for a high-profile architect, who has
- Proven experience as an architect on resilience improvement initiatives in IT Infrastructure
- Non-exhaustive list of examples thereof is the implantation plan of IT Infrastructure in a Datacenter;
- Build resilience architecture roadmap;
- Network segmentation;
- Backup and restore strategies;
- Tooling such as monitoring and observability and Application and Infrastructure
- Dependency Mapping; good automation and automation use cases; structured root-cause analysis; implementation of Disaster Recovery Plans,
- Cybersecurity improvement initiatives are not in scope of the assignment.
- Proven experience in describing and implementing resilience architectures(s) for IT Infrastructure.
- Proven technical skills and at least generic knowledge of legacy and modern IT infrastructure environments. A non-exhaustive list of IT infrastructure includes
- Legacy server infrastructure (Solaris / HPUX, Linux/Windows (physical), Open VMS, Teradata, Non-stop,),
- Modern virtualised environments (VMWare, Openstack, Openshift running on X86),
- Databases (Oracle Enterprise DB and Exadata on Customer Cloud, MSFT SQL, Datastax,

Couchbase,) and Storage,
- Running over a legacy or Software Defined Network (Cisco ACI),
- Physical and Virtual Firewalls and Loadbalancers,
- Monitoring, Observability and Orchestration tooling,
- Public Cloud (Azure & Google),
- Experience in the technical aspects for transforming an IT Infrastructure organization

(Infrastructure As Code, automation,),
- Excellent writing and presentation skills (comprehensive architectural documents, ability to bring complex matters in an easy manner),
- Excellent communication skills in F2F as towards a larger audience.

**Education**:
Master in IT of Industrial or Engineering Sciences or similar by experience.

**Experience**:
10+ years professional experience in the IT environment, among which, several years working as IT architect in an IT infrastructure Team with focus on resilience.
