Business Unit Finance Partner

What you'll do

Our client, a renowned company active in the telecommunication sector based in the centre of Brussels, is looking for a Finance Business Partner.
- You structure and report key financial figures for the Division to facilitate decision making for our FIN management. You will participate in the consolidation and optimization of the financial figures of the Business Unit.
- You will help the management of NSP to achieve its financial (EBITDA and CAPEX) and efficiency objectives set during the different financial forecast exercises (Budget, Rolling forecast, 5Y Plan,)
- You take part in strategic discussions and bring your financial point of view
- You are responsible for the integrity and quality of the financial information (relating to your business) that is communicated internally and/or externally
- You are the guarantor of the opinion and good financial governance in the various projects and investment decisions (FIN Opinion, Business Case, etc.)

Your mission:

- You will work in close collaboration with Management and the operational teams
- You will use your financial and accounting knowledge to provide advice and guidance to management in discussions related to specific issues or strategic projects, process implementations or contract negotiations
- You will ensure that the financial processes and flows are properly implemented, so that the financial information is correctly reported and integrated into the Group accounting system
- You participate in the definition and review of operational performance (KPIs) - You manage the financial aspects of complex issues that will be raised
- You will lead the financial review and long-term strategic planning exercises to ensure that the objectives set are aligned with the demands of the business
- You will ensure the proper flow of information to top management (CFO, CTO, CFO) in preparation for joint meetings between our client and third parties
- You are responsible for the analysis, understanding and communication of financial variances during the closing processes (monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual), as well as during the various financial review exercises (Budget, Rolling Forecast, 5Y plan,)
- You manage the investment requests (CAPEX) during the various forecasting processes and provide the necessary FIN opinions before validation of any investment
- You answer ad-hoc questions from senior management, the Competition Authority, BIPT or any other internal or external interlocutor at our client

Who we're looking for
- Good knowledge of Dutch, French and English language (all company communication in English and finance team mostly Dutch speaking)
- You have a master’s degree in economics/management or similar by experience
- You have at least 3 years’ experience (cumulated) in audit and in a financial controller position
- You master the financial processes and have a good understanding of the accounting principles (BGAAP, IFRS, consolidation...)
- You are familiar with the Office package (especially Excel), and you are used to working with ERP and BI (SAP and TM1 are a plus)
- You can work flexibly and independently
- You have a critical mind with regards to the information that is shared with you
- You are rigorous, conscientious, pragmatic and curious
- You are customer oriented, and seek to solve problems
- You are able to communicate complex information in a clear and concise way to the management
- You have a positive attitude and work well in a team
- You demonstrate integrity and confidence when handling confidential information
