Portfolio Risk Analyst

You will analyse all contractual specifications of the gas portfolio assets (supply and sales contracts, storages, logistic capacities, etc )
- You will protect the value of the gas portfolio in the European markets by implementing risk reducing hedging strategies with traders.
- You will follow energy markets and assess the impact of new trends/events on the value of the gas portfolio. You will analyse potential improved hedging strategies in line with market evolutions
- You will monitor the market risk exposure and the PnL of the Gas Portfolio Northern Europe unit by keeping the portfolio position updated using the appropriate (ETRM) systems. Make sure that such position is accurate at any time by performing checks and controls. Report and comments the position on daily basis
- You will suggest and implement improvements to the tools and procedures related to the daily operative activities. Keep dashboards updated to allow quick decision making and maximising the value of the gas portfolio in a compliant way
- You will collect and analyse data to support potential improvements of the gas portfolio assets, investments, new hedging strategies, etc
- You will communicate and coordinate with other stakeholders like negotiation teams, sales, logistics, operations, middle and back office, finance

**Wat wij van jou vragen**:

- You have a Masters degree in science, mathematics or economics or relevant experience on the commodity markets. Affinity with economics and passionate about energy markets
- You have 3 years of experience in the energy or the finance market, preferably in (commodity) risk management, risk control or other financial risk related function
- You have a disciplined work ethic, you work with a sense of urgency and have a strong drive for results
- You are highly numerate with exceptional analytical capabilities
- You are strong in Excel and have a strong interest in programming (using for example VBA, Pyton, Matlab) to support business processes
- You have strong oral and written communication skills.
- You speak very good English. Dutch, French and/or Italian are a plus
- You are a self-starter, initiative taker and you are a teamplayer
