**Job Description**:
ARHS Digital is looking for a Data Functional Analyst for one of its clients in Brussels, a key player in the Belgian social security sector.

**General Description**
- You will play a key role in the development of the data analytics platform.
- Regular contact with the Business to understand business needs and translate them into data and technical requirements.
- You will sit within the Data Office Organization and work in close collaboration with the project team: Project Leader, Data Architect, the BI development team and the Business stakeholders.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Serve as liaison between the business and the BI team.
- Interview end business users to understand business processes and collect their data related requirements.
- Translate business needs into data models and technical requirements with appropriate documentation. Requirements may consist of entire projects as well as change requests.
- Work with data architects and technical leads to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Collaborate with Business Subject Matter Experts to identify, assess and understand detailed internal and external data sources.
- Define and update the Conceptual Information Model as well as the logical models of the domain data warehouses and data marts.
- Map source system to target data model.
- Evolve models to meet new and changing business requirements.
- Validate that data warehouse meets requirements and service-level agreements.
- Coordinate prototype reviews and demos.
- Develop process for capturing and maintaining metadata from all data platform components.
- Participate in the definition and documentation of the technical architecture of the data warehouse, including the physical components and their functionality.
- Communicate physical database designs to the data development teams.
- Collaborate with various business and technical stakeholders whose support is needed to build or deploy data warehouses, data marts and/or dashboards.
- Work with the Project Leader along the entire project lifecycle to ensure appropriate delivery in an agile and pragmatic approach. Occasionally perform the role for smaller projects or change requests.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- Strong conceptual, communication and technical skills
- Strong analytic, pragmatic approach and delivery focus
- Ability to develop relationship with the business and data stakeholders, developing trust and buy-in with active listening and assertiveness
- Ability to work collaboratively within a transversal organization
- Unwavering, stress resistant and flexible
- Inquisitive and open-minded
- ** Fluency in either French or Dutch is required**

**Technical skills**
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Strong Data modelling experience (conceptual, logical and physical modelling)
- Understanding of source and target data structures, ETL processes, and products
- Metadata skills
- Knowledge of key data warehousing processes
- Master data Management experience
- Data quality Management experience would be considered an asset
- Prior experience building data warehouses would be considered an asset
