The Research and Development center located in Brussels is one of the main R&D centers of the Coca‐Cola Company. We oversee the development of new beverages (CSD, juices, iced teas, water, dairy ), packages and retail equipment innovation for Europe, Eurasia, Middle East and Africa.
We are looking for a Junior Product Developer to execute projects in the Sparkling category. Geographical scope will be EMEA and Global. This role is an individual contributor, reporting to the Core Sparkling Category Lead.
**What You’ll Do for Us**:
Work on limited project steps or lead limited sized projects with technical guidance from his management.
Develop new beverages or adapt existing recipes according to specific detail objectives under supervision/coaching of R&D category manager.
Accountable for the project delivery (Quality, timing & cost)
**Build awareness of system dynamics**: concentrate part model, bottler-franchise operating model, value chain, Business Unit structure and supply chain
Develop a good understanding of science of taste and translate it into stable consumer preferred product propositions.
Able to resolve technical challenges linked to formulation, process, agricultural ingredient sourcing, scale-up.
Identify, suggest & implement improvement on product development, process, communication routines
Be always updated on “New World of Risk” and taking this into consideration for ingredient selection, formula and process design.
Continuous curiosity on competition activities and strategy and trends in the category, identifying growth opportunities.
**Qualifications & Requirements**:
At least 1-3 years successful product development experience in the beverages industry or 2-4 successful experience in food industry.
**Educational requirements / qualifications**: Master or Post-Graduate in food science, chemistry or relative field
Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Additional language is a plus.
**Travel requirements**:
Travel will fluctuate and is projected as maximum of 10% of the time (annually).
**Contract**: 1 year contract
