EuropeActive is the leading not-for-profit organisation representing the whole of the European fitness and physical activity sector in Brussels. The European fitness and physical activity sector serves over 64,8 million consumers, generates 28.2 billion Euros in revenues, employs 750,000 people, and consists of 63,644 facilities. Alongside its significant economic contribution, the sector has a major role to play in creating a more active and healthier Europe.

EuropeActive aims to co-operate with the European Union and other international organisations to achieve its objective, to get **MORE PEOPLE | MORE ACTIVE | MORE OFTEN**.

**The position**:
The EU policy officer will be reinforcing EuropeActive’s EU-Affairs team in Brussels and will be supporting with the delivery of EuropeActive’s EU Affairs strategy through:

- Policy monitoring related to relevant policy areas such as health, sport, sustainability, skills and qualifications, and more.
- Contributing to the delivery of membership services for national fitness associations recognized by EuropeActive.
- Contributing to the delivery of EuropeActive’s EU-funded project activities and its relations with project partners
- Contributing to the drafting of policy papers, position papers and other relevant publications.
- Representing EuropeActive at conferences, workshops, congresses and other relevant events.

**What we will expect**:

- Excellent English language communication skills (C1) are required, German language skills are a plus,
- A relevant Masters degree (e.g. European studies / Law / International affairs / Journalism),
- A minimum of 1 years of relevant professional experience,
- Expertise in stakeholder and partnership management,
- Good understanding of the working of the EU institutions and the political decision-making process at the EU level,
- Excellent information gathering skills and an ability to articulate and communicate effectively,

**Profile**:

- You will need to be able to work in a small team, and to be self-disciplined,
- To work with tight deadlines,
- To have a “can do” attitude, to be flexible and a team player,
- A personal interest in fitness, sport and physical activity is an asset.
