Research and Innovation Assistant

The European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) is the European not-for-profit organization representing over 20,000 social service providers in 41 countries. EASPD’s mission is to promote equal opportunities for persons with disabilities through effective and high-quality service systems across Europe, in line with the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Our members are active in a wide range of activities, especially in care and support services, employment, education and training, and early childhood intervention.

**Job description**

EASPD is currently looking for a Research & Innovation Assistant willing to enrich their resume with a working experience in EASPD’s headquarters, in Brussels. The person will work directly with and under the supervision of EASPD’s Head of Knowledge and Innovation and in close cooperation with other members of the team. The work would involve covering a broad variety of topics in the field of human rights and social services.

**Expected tasks**:

- Assistance with desk research and data gathering for various studies and reports led by EASPD staff, such as those listed in our publications.
- Support in implementation of running projects. EASPD develops, coordinates, and takes part in various European projects through funding such as Erasmus+ or Horizon Europe.
- Support in organisation of events with European institutions and various actors (both online and face-to-face).
- Contributing to peer-learning and e-learning activities of the EASPD Knowledge & Innovation Team.
- Dissemination activities.
- Administrative and financial support to the team.
- Collaboration with the other EASPD teams.

**Job Requirements**Essential**:

- Higher education degree (minimum 3 years).
- Oral and Written Fluency in English and at least one additional European language.
- Capacity to work in a team and to share your knowledge and expertise.
- Excellent research and writing skills in English (other languages are an asset).
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic IT skills.

**Terms of the Contract**
- A 6- month contract under the Belgian Covention d’Immersion Professionelle (CIP) format.
- The selected person must have a valid permit to work and live in the EU/Belgium.
- The workstation is the EASPD headquarters in Brussels (BE). In normal time (outside of COVID rules), the work schedule is minimum 3 days in the office per week.
- Contract 38 hours per week; remuneration at approximately 937.57€ per month depending on age.
- Starting date: approximately 20th February or as soon as possible.
