People Operations Specialist

We are looking for a
- **People Operations Specialist** to join our Brussels team. You will be one of the key contacts for employees in Belgium, France, the United Kingdom, Austria, and other European countries where we might hire colleagues. Your primary focus will be to deliver amazing day-to-day employee support and HR guidance to our teams in Europe. You will be reporting to the People Operations Specialist in Brussels and partnering with the rest of the global People team to drive our people agenda at Kpler

**What you will do**

You will be responsible, amongst others, for the following topics:
**Employee Journey and Experience**
- Coordinate a seamless onboarding and offboarding process, always ensuring a great employee experience (including contracts preparation and exit interviews)
- Build relationships with employees ensuring that you are aware of the mood and morale of the teams in Europe
- Be the point of contact for any employee queries, providing HR guidance and resolving issues quickly
- Offer support in global mobility and internal transfers
- Champion our cultural values to our teams in Europe
- Help organise social events together with the regional teams

**HR Compliance & Labour Relations**
- Partner with external counsel to review and enhance all employment practices at Kpler and ensure compliance with local law and regulations
- Document and maintain employee handbooks, HR policies, and templates
- Partner with external counsel to set up and administer employee counsels (eg. CSE in France)
- Manage required HR reporting and postings
- Help employees with visa and immigration matters

**People Projects**
- Participate in various projects within the broader People Team to improve the People experience at Kpler.
- These can be projects like employer branding, employee retention, HR analytics, culture, diversity & inclusion, onboarding automation, engagement surveys, and other initiatives. Also enhancing our People policies and processes by drafting standardised templates, scaling processes, KPI reporting, etc.

**You may be a fit if you are or have...**

**Experience**
- **2+ years** of HR generalist or operations experience
- Experience with or keen interest in learning HR legal & compliance for several countries
- Experience working in an international environment
- Experience in a startup/scaleup environment is a huge plus

**Skills and competencies**
- Fluency in English
- Culturally sensitive and willing to travel now and then
- Strong interpersonal, time-management, and communication skills
- Autonomous and resourceful mindset
- Attention to detail

This role is based in
- **Brussels** with the opportunity to work remotely several days a week.
