Product Artwork Excellence Sr. Manager

Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Product Artwork Excellence Senior Manager to join our Product Artwork Team.

Product Artwork is part of the Digital Operations&Technical Services (DOTS) organization. We are open to considering this global role to be based at any J&J Innovative Medicine Supply Chain locations. The Product Artwork (PA) consists of 30 employees and over 40 contractors. They manage the life cycle of all artworks (leaflets, labels, folding boxes) for all J&J Innovative Medicine products representing about 8,000 SKU’s with more than 10,000 product artwork changes annualy, serving 210 Local Operating Companies and guided by 30+ SOP/WIs.

The PA is structured in three main pillars:
1. Product Artwork Design, responsible for PA Guidelines; Design& Prototyping; Packaging Innovation& Design

2. Product Artwork Coordination, responsible for E2E Artwork activities (creation; proofreading; prioritization)

3. Product Artwork Excellence, responsible for Systems & Processes; Partnerships/Vendor Management; Performance Management; Quality & Compliance oversight.

The PA Excellence Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the PA Excellence Team to:

- optimize systems & processes across Product Artwork
- drive quality & compliance oversight across Product Artwork
- establish an E2E performance-based culture
- create & strengthen internal & external partnerships
- embrace Digital and Automation to improve data utilization and to reduce repetitive and routine work

This requires a strong leader that can deal with the complexity, evolve and grow both the business and the team, lead the team through change and manage the multitude of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Systems and processes
- Lead optimization & consistency of processes and systems across PA
- Evaluate operational capability; identify gaps and recommends issue resolution to senior management
- Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to shape the best-in-class processes & systems for artwork management & sub processes
- Direct the team to look pro-actively for new and innovative technologies on the market to optimize product artwork process and leverage best practices in and outside J&J
- Lead or act as a core team member in key project initiatives both cross-functional or global

Performance management
- Establish an E2E performance-based culture
- Monitor trending and collaborate across other functional teams within PA to review metrics and define corrective / preventive actions
- Recommend strategic metrics/KPI to monitor and improve operational performance

Workforce/Vendor Management
- Lead the optimization of the vendor landscape & portfolio
- Develop Smart cost management
- Facilitate internal alignment on core vs non-core activities as well as outsourcing
- Partner with the different functions within PA, Packaging CoE, Global Regulatory and Compliance, Business Quality, Pack sites and vendors

Responsible for Quality & Compliance of systems & processes within PA
- SPOC for Quality Event Management & internal audits
- Drive flawless execution of Quality & compliance on processes, documentation & training
- Drives the right (preventive) behaviour to reduce human related non-conformance issues within PA
- Ensure processes & systems are in place to maintain a compliant organization

**Qualifications**:
COMPETENCY (knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required)
- Knowledge of cGMP, pharmaceutical legislation.
- Knowledge about product artwork and printed packaging materials and interfaces with key functions

- FPX certification

DEGREE:

- Master’s degree or equal by experience required
- Min 10 years of relevant experience in a Pharmaceutical / regulated environment

LANGUAGES:

- Ability to express yourself and present in English, tell a story and engage stakeholders

SPECIFIC SYSTEMS:

- Project management tools (like Planisware)
- Quality event management tools

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Works in an international environment across different time zones
- Occasional travel required
