Because of the scope of responsibilities our Junior Finance Analyst position is an excellent opportunity for a recent finance graduate or a more experienced finance professional with hands-on experience providing finance/business analysis.

Ideally, you will live within a reasonable commute of our **Leuven Head Office **but there is the option of Hybrid working available for this position.

**What You Will Do**:
Reporting into our Director of Finance - Transportation, you will be part of the Business Finance team that serves a key position within Trimble Transportation. You will contribute to the management of the business by providing accurate and relevant financial reporting to senior financial management and business stakeholders. As part of your role, you will assist and eventually manage the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting as well as ad hoc reporting. You are involved in numerous aspects of financial management, inclusive of corporate accounting, budget and forecast preparation, internal regulation, revenue recognition, pricing discipline, pricing analysis and financial reporting.

Alongside these hugely important tasks, there will be the opportunity to suggest and pilot ways of working improvements and strategies to scale financial projects and reporting. As we grow as a business there’s a likelihood that you will also lead on financial analysis of potential acquisitions and growth opportunities. Some additional day-to-day activities are:
**Day-to-Day Activities Include**:

- Collaborate with project managers to establish correct billing and revenue recognition for active consulting projects
- Analyze past results, identify trends and discuss anomalies with corporate accounting
- Perform variance analysis, comparing actuals with outlook, previous quarter and previous year
- Assist in preparing Management Reporting including operational metrics tracking
- Assist with financial forecasting which consists of a quarterly rolling forecast
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- In addition, work closely with international colleagues to accomplish the objectives of the team

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:

- Minimum 2 years in Business analysis
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and familiarity with data query/data management tools;
- Experience in working in an international matrix environment
- Excellent English language skills.
- Goal driven, passionate, flexible, stress resilient and customer focused
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently;
- Hands-on mentality with a strong sense of accountability
