Who you are

You have proven training in linguistic field; (ongoing bachelor’/master study minimum). Experience in using CAT tools and Translation management systems (e.g. SDL Worldserver, XTM, Smartling, Memsource, MemoQ etc) are a plus. Familiarity with Machine Translation is desirable.

Furthermore you have strong communication and influencing skills and are bilingual Dutch and French with a fluent level of English, both spoken and written.

As a person you have understanding and interest in localization/communication trends and the ability to turn them into effective communication.

You have time management skills, ability to multitask and are highly organized.

The purpose with this position is to secure that our customers and co-workers have a native experience across all platforms and to ensure all content and communication for the market aligns with IKEA tone of voice across all channels and according to guidelines

What you'll be doing day to day

Your daily tasks would mainly be reviewing FR and/or NL content (translated from EN) will also assist in other tasks such as:

- Assist in managing the localisation and translation projects end to end
- Communicate with localisation vendors.
- Consolidate and provide linguistic feedback to the translators/translation vendors to educate them on IKEA tone of voice
- Update linguistic assests such as glossaries, termbases, etc.
- Work closely with local content creation teams to create web, sales, communication and social media content that is appealing to customers by providing input from a linguistic perspective, while driving consistency with global content
- Liaise with the global localisation team to ensure consistency of approach
- Translate and/or edit user interface, communication, PR, Web, social media and marketing materials for urgent and special requests, which can’t be outsourced
