Your Profile:

- Master or PhD student in the field of electromechanical, electrical or electro-chemical Engineering
- You have a European EEA citizenship (not requiring a visum to work in Belgium)
- You must be a student for the entire duration of the internship
- Open minded and keen to work proactively in a multi-cultural business environment
- Highly motivated with a passion for electrification
- Fluent in English (reading; writing; speaking)
- Able to summarize and explain complex technical information in a simple, clear and visual way.

Your team and your responsibilities:
**Division information**:
As part of TME R&D organization, the Powertrain Division is responsible for local development of powertrains for vehicles built in one of the TME production plants and for planning and research of new European technologies. Latest focus points include electrification, big data and connectivity.

**Your project**:
With increasing electrification, batteries play an increasingly important role in mobility and other areas. Your project is about research on battery cells and packs, as well as simulation of various use cases.
- State-of-art & future technology research with regards to battery cell, pack, thermal management, etc.
- Studying implications of V2G (usage profile, etc.) on battery requirements and lifetime
- Application of battery simulation model in various use cases including thermal management
