ABOUT THE ROLE
As Equipment Control Officer, you are responsible for the optimal management of equipment within your assigned region. You ensure a correct balance between stock and costs and seek a balance in supply/disposal.
The key responsibilities of the Equipment Control Officer are divided as such:
Daily follow-up of stock lists within the region
Reconciling depot lists and releasing equipment on time
Reporting empty import carrier haulage containers to depot
Requesting mis-use references
Creating and closing bookings for sister companies and empty shipments
Adjusting bookings
Create transports for transshipment of empty containers
Follow up on overdues
Booking and follow-up of containers with ‘special destination'
Coordinating with Maintenance & Repair department (raft repairs, special bookings, humidity control, etc.)
In the full range of tasks, always aim for the lowest possible stock at the lowest possible cost.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor/Master's degree or equivalent experience
Knowledge of the maritime sector is a plus
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English with knowledge of the professional language, both oral and written. Knowledge of French is a plus.
You are strong in following up clients and managing your files.
You can take the necessary initiatives but know how to set the right priorities at the same time
You are result-oriented in your approach
You have strong adaptation and problem-solving skills
You cooperate in active communication and show a strong team spirit
You can work in a service-oriented way
