The Role

Here at Etex, we currently have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our business as the Global Head of Purchasing. In this role, you will lead the global purchasing team and define and execute our purchasing roadmap. Reporting into the Chief Performance Officer you be responsible for the overall success of the purchasing function within Etex. This role can be based in either Belgium or Luxembourg and will require regular travel.

Key Accountabilities
- Lead, develop, support, and grow the global purchasing function at Etex (120 Buyers, 2 billion EUR spend)
- Continue to improve the end-to-end purchasing process, aiming for more simple, automated, and lean operations.
- Lead our Sustainability journey from a purchasing point of view directly impacting the success of our 2030 decarbonation and circularity goals
- Leading on cost optimisation and strategies related to energy, raw materials and indirect spend.
- Continuously liaise with the Business to ensure a robust input to price-to-cost processes.
- Continue the journey of professionalising our purchasing function and moving from buying to category management

Skills and Experience
- Significant senior experience of Purchasing in an international industrial group
- Strong People Leadership skills with a proven track record of developing and mentoring others
- Proven track record at transforming Purchasing organisation
- Experienced negotiator, with experience managing complex discussions at international level
- Ability to think strategically and developing the long-term partnerships
- Solid understanding of Energy markets and hedging processes
