We want you to develop your skills, expand your knowledge and be proud of your work. **Job Purpose**: - The Head of Credit has a key role that directly impacts our commercial and financial success. Reporting to the Finance Director for Sales, Marketing & Retail you will be responsible for the credit operations across all Wholesale and Retail business units including improvements in our key underlying credit metrics. - You will have ownership of the development of all policies, methodologies, portfolio management, reporting and monitoring as well as leading the credit risk committee and having key inputs to the working capital steering committee. - Working with a strong network of credit managers, you will draw upon your experience to assist the regional and central teams with a continuous improvement mindset. You will work in a fast-paced, busy role whilst leading, and developing a team that is split across multiple locations. - You will be hands-on with credit control and legal processes and enjoy working in a broad and varied role. - Being innovative in the use of data and analytics to look at ways to improve our credit risk position and bring solutions to the sales team. - You are expected to be customer facing and regularly visit the regional teams, therefore international travel is an expectation within the role. **Responsibilities**: - You will have an understanding of customer experience and the metrics of NPS & CES. - You will be responsible for delivering upon our credit objectives, with outstanding results in respect of collections, delivery and risk. - Setting objectives and streamlining processes to ensure efficiency, you will coach, lead and develop your team to promote a confident and results driven goal orientated department. - Taking responsibility of the collection process in ways of reviewing and implementing strategies to manage company risk. - Holding regular 1-2-1's with your team members for ledger reviews, identifying areas and ways of improvement, then tracking and monitoring our progress. - Analysis of team performance and ensure resources are allocated in an efficient manner, ensuring continuity of operations. - Attend and present credit and risk performance at regular meetings with senior management team including but not limited to the credit committee and working capital groups. - Act as the point of escalation relating to the credit function, and resolve account disputes to minimise aged debt and improve proficiency. - Reviewing financials and credit limits for significant customers with high levels of risk, as defined by our own internal ranking system. - Produce relevant information & reports for Finance Director - Month end close and reporting - Working closely with key stakeholders to manage query logs and response times - Acting as a business partner to the sales team. - Assisting with projects - Develop and produce analytics, reporting on credit risk to ensure the business units are operating within risk appetite **Experience**: - Track record of implementing and maintaining successful credit risk strategies and policies; including technical skills o
