**For a company active in the automotive sector and located in Zaventem, Hays is looking for a Head of Accounting.**
As Head of Accounting, you will supervise all accounting activities for Belgium to ensure compliance with the local GAAP and IFRS norms, corporate policies and statutory obligations.
Your scope will include AR, AP, taxes, internal control, and group and statutory closings. You will report to the CFO Belux and work closely with him and other stakeholders. You will supervise a team of senior accountants and coordinate the SSC.
You have a higher degree in accountancy and
**at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role **(Accounting Manager, Chief Accountant, ). You speak
**fluently Dutch, French and English** and have strong communication skills. You have a good understanding for IFRS norms and Belgian general accounting procedures. You have a good knowledge and experience with Excel and SAP.
