**Your mission**
The Financial Controller at Inchcape Belgium is the go-to person for all matters concerning financial forecasting, monitoring, and reporting for all Distribution Activities. You’ll assist the Head of Controlling and Executives by creating and managing dashboards for clear financial insight. Additionally, you'll actively seek out new growth opportunities and enhance financial efficiency.
Reporting directly to the Head of Controlling, this role oversees Distribution activities for three legal entities in Belux: Toyota Belgium, Autoproducts, and Car Security.
**Your key responsibilities**
1) Business Support
- Offer guidance to Operational heads on finance-related matters to achieve financial objectives.
- Conduct qualitative monthly business reviews with Operational Heads to uncover insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to aid Operational Heads in performance management.
- Take a proactive approach to provide smarter and cost-effective support to Operational Heads.
2) Reporting
- Ensure accurate monthly performance submissions in the global reporting system in line with the Group closing instructions.
- Provide monthly Marketing spend vs. forecast reports to the Head of Customer Experience.
- Deliver weekly and monthly performance reports to Sales and Operations Heads, ensuring accuracy and reconciliation with local ledgers.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis to the Head of Controlling and Operational Heads.
3) Forecasting
- Assist the Head of Controlling in leading forecast exercises with Operation Heads, adhering to group guidelines on a weekly and quarterly basis.
- Conduct regular analysis on variances between actual and forecasted figures.
4) Processes and Internal Control : Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and Internal Control Standards
**Skills and Experience**
- Master's degree in Finance and at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Excellent understanding of general accounting procedures, financial reportings & operational business
- Dutch or french speaker and fluent in english
- Communication skills : You can easily put across your ideas, explain more technical issues and get things moving
