To strengthen our Business Innovation Team, based in Nívelles, Belgium, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Junior R&D Engineer Flue Gas Treatment (VIE).

About the role

Your role and responsibilities:
- Analyse the market dynamics and future trends for the French and Iberia market for furnace sorbent injection (FSI) to support business needs.-
- Carry out a state-of-the-art literature review of experimental methods for characterization of bulk solids and industrial systems for the transport of powders. Two aspects will be addressed: (a) powder flow behavior in the bulk solids and (b) dispersion in the gas phase.- Plan and manage experiments to measure the flow characteristics of powders (a) using existing laboratory equipment and (b) under (simulated) industrial conditions.- Support our technical teams in on-site industrial testing of FSI injection systems.

About you:
- Master’s degree in Chemical / Process Engineering or similar field.- Willingness to develop, learn, and be a strong team player with a good level of autonomy.- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment, establish collaborative relationships with people.- Organized with strong time and project management skills.- Ideally, knowledge of Pyhton and MATLAB.- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with strong knowledge of MS Excel, Data analysis and management.- Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to quickly learn new software- You have full professional proficiency in English. French, Spanish or another language is a plus.
