**Azure Architect (MUST be based in Belgium)**
My client seeks an Azure Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture of cloud-based solutions for the EU Institutions.
**Remit**
- Conducting data analysis and modelling with large volumes of data from multiple sources.
- Designing and developing architecture components and building blocks using cloud technologies.
- Engineering Azure data lake storage for raw, unstructured, semi-structured, and scrapped content.
- Acting as a technical interface between project leaders and developers.
- Analyzing potential integration of generative AI components and ensuring compliance with applicable EC standards, including Information and IT Security.
- Contributing to IT Security Risk analysis and elaborating functional and non-functional requirements.
**Requirements**:
- Good understanding of architecture best practices, microservices, and cloud architecture.
- Familiarity with modelling tools and relational database management systems.
- Excellent communication skills, including participation in multilingual meetings (EN/FR).
- Ability to work in international/multicultural environments, with strong teamwork skills and a proactive approach.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to write clear and structured technical documents in English.
**Skills**
- Excellent knowledge of cloud architecture, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with integration with EC corporate reusable solutions (eg, EU Login) would be advantageous.
- A Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification would be highly valued.
