**The team**

The Finance Treasury team is part of the Center of Epertise (CoE) Financial Accounting Control & Advice within the Financial Management department. The CoE is composed of 3 teams: Finance Treasury, Lending & Commercial Bank and Ledger Manager & Analysis.

The team consists of 7 diversemembers in Brussels. Furthermore, we receive support from our FA Hub in The Philippines. We work in a hybrid setup: 50% division between working from home and at the office.

We are Finance eperts with an interest in, and thorough understanding of, Finance, Treasury and Financial Markets. Together we are ambitious to stay on top of this field through our day-to-day activities and longer term vision to continuously improve the efficiency and quality of our output.

**A day in the life of a Finance Advice Epert**

As Finance Treasury Controller & Advisor, you will be responsible for and contribute to:

- Keeping the bank safe and compliant through a solid closing process, ensuring we remain in control of ING’s Treasury and Financial Markets business
- Analyzing evolutions and preparing insightful reports and presentations for senior management, regulators and auditors.
- Performing ad hoc analysis / in-depth analytical reviews;
- Acting as gatekeeper of the bank’s hedge accounting processes, investigating regulatory changes and best practices within ING locations and in the market.
- Continuously improving our processes and quality of output
- Supporting Head of Treasury with Finance business advice.
- Participating actively in cross-border working groups about strategic topics
- Assisting in the optimization of P&L forecasting and planning of the Treasury Department.

You are a self-starting and critical individual willing to zoom in, in order to zoom out. Furthermore, you have:

- Master’s degree, preferably in the areas of Finance, accounting, business administration or business economics
- Knowledge of Finance and preferably of treasury & ALM (asset & liability management) Knowledge of financial markets instruments (e.g. derivatives, bonds, repo’s, Foreign E
- change) and IFRS 9 is an advantage
- Fluent in English E
- cellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data in a structured way and communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders (incl. high value specialists and general management) You don’t shy away from comple
- ity, are eager to learn, pro-active and able to work both autonomously and in team

As a Finance Advice Epert, you will have the opportunity to:
