**In this role you will**:

- Promote Health & Safety policy in all activities carried out.
- Act at all times as an excellent ambassador of the company in relationships with customers/suppliers.
- Plan how to establish and maintain strong major account relationships that allow for continuity and ongoing representation, reinforced by sales support/delivery programs and communicate this to relevant organizational functions/divisions.
- Participate in the process of the company sales and market planning, constantly being aware via assessing and evaluating emerging opportunities for extending company sales in the designated area.
- Direct the flow of information for sales activities and transactions.
- Ensure sales goals are met within organization strategies; maintain coordination with integral organizational functions.
- Participate with other sales members, in development of sales strategies for national accounts; help identify target accounts and opportunities within the framework of the organization wide strategy.
- Monitor competitive activity in each account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and communicated.
- Systematically liaise with customers to establish on-going demand, any new developments, customer satisfaction etc.
- Complete reports on all customer visits and contacts, significant developments etc.
- Ensure that the purchasing function is well advised of the forward pattern of anticipated usage and that suitable levels of stock are available.
- Ensure good stock management to meet the organizations strategy related to aged stock.
- Negotiate with customers on conditions of supply, price, service levels, credit contract reviews etc, within the group guidelines.
- Keep advised of the lead times on the various production routes and advise customers as appropriate.
- Deal promptly and systematically with customer dissatisfactions, liaising with Quality and Works as and when required.
- Ensure customer profiles and parts databases are up to date on computer system at all times.
- Any other duties as required by the business.

**Your profile:
- Strong commercial knowledge.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- General knowledge of steel production and processing.
- Knowledge of company’s computer despatch system.
- Bachelor Degree or equal by experience
- Dutch, English, French knowledge (you should be able to sell and communicate)
