The **Cancer Ecosystems and Metastasis Laboratory** (CEMLab), led by Panagiotis Karras at the Institut Jules Bordet and Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), is seeking a laboratory technician with hands-on experience in animal procedures as well as cellular and molecular biology techniques.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Mouse Colony Management**
- Oversee and maintain mouse colonies, including breeding, genotyping (DNA extraction, PCR), and meticulous record-keeping.
- Participate in animal experiments as required.
- Manage and update the mouse colony database.
- Ensure compliance with institutional and ethical guidelines for animal care and use.

**Wet Lab**
- Perform molecular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, and gel electrophoresis.
- Maintain laboratory stocks, place orders for supplies, and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
- Enforce lab safety regulations and contribute to the improvement of experimental procedures.

**General Duties**
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of experiments and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during experiments.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in biomedical sciences, biotechnology, animal care, or a related field.
- FELASA B/C certification with proven experience in mouse handling and colony maintenance.
- Prior experience in molecular and cell biology techniques.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and oral.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
