Ecolab the world leader in resin-based separation, purification and extraction technology, is seeking a **Technical Sales Manager** to join our Sales team in Germany

We are seeking a **Technical Sales Manager** who will work within the German Sales Team within our Purification Technologies division, with the willingness to travel to customer sites in Germany, Austria and Netherlands.

**What you’ll do**:

- Proactive acquisition of new customers in a professional and efficient manner
- Delivering & supporting in customer training
- Leading technical-chemical discussions with customers and offering advice/guidance
- Calculating water treatment plants
- Independent work and independent planning of customer visits
- Understand and deliver against customer needs
- Issuing quotes and technical support to customers in a timely manner.
- Negotiating with customers to ensure the maximum value (price and commercial terms) is achieved for Ecolab.
- Maintenance of customer data in a CRM system

**What you'll need**:

- German and English fluency is required for this position.
- Dutch language skills are desirable, but not a requirement.
- Strong proven experience in a technical sales function.
- The role requires a completed training/studies in the field of chemistry, process engineering or comparable courses of study.
- Willingness to travel within Germany and Central Europe
- Proven knowledge of water treatment and catalytic processes is desirable.
- Microsoft Office competent
- CRM system
- The ability to communication and liaise effectively with people at all levels.
- Be highly self-motivated and can work with the minimum supervision, whilst at the same time being a strong team player.
- Negotiation and sales skills.
- Willing to take ownership of challenging situations and issues to drive effective closure.
