Quality Assurance Manager

The Product Portfolio Milk Quality & Animal Health (PP MQAH) produces and distributes chemical products by, among others, the Chemicals Division in Drongen (Ghent). The Product Portfolio consists of udder hygiene products, hoof disinfectants and detergents used by dairy farmers around the world.

We are currently looking for a **Quality Assurance Manager **for our location in Drongen.

**What are your responsibilities?**
- Set up and maintain the proper quality assurance system per the request of (1) GMP regulations, (2) ISO system, (3) regulatory requirements, (4) corporate guidelines and (5) business needs
- Create and maintain Quality related Standard Operating Procedures for both GMP and non-GMP related processes and manage the overall document management system
- Review, evaluate and approve any changes related to product quality, make sure all the deviations are investigated and related CAPA are closed
- Follow-up customer complaint investigation
- Support, review and approve the chemical test methods and sampling approach, supervise and approve material suppliers, make sure only qualified materials and semi-finish products being used on normal production
- Supervise Quality Control testing and releasing of Raw Materials, Intermediates and Finished Products
- Make sure all the necessary validation process or verification process being completed and approved per quality management request
- Lead the regular Internal Audit process and assessment on the effectiveness of quality assurance system
- Be the contact person of MQAH factory to local authorities, organize all the external audits in order to maintain the GMP license and ISO certificate
- Stimulate Quality mindset in operations and in projects and give Quality related trainings

**What profile are we looking for?**
- Master in pharmacy, veterinary medicines, chemical engineering, bio-engineer, animal sciences related
- Minimum 5 years of experience on the quality assurance position in a GMP and ISO9001 environment
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control or chemist position in a chemical or pharmaceutical company
- At least 3 years of people management experience, ability to lead a small team

**What skills should our QA Manager have?**
- Structured way of working, eye for detail
- Strong written and verbal communication in both Dutch and English
- Acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in team performance and quality management system processes
- Project management will be a preferable skill for this position
- Highly sensitive to product quality, straight forward to any quality problems
- Willing to travel occasionally (domestic and overseas trips)

**Organizational interactions**

Our QA Manager is reporting to the Factory Manager and has two direct reports (QC Lab Supervisor and junior QA officer/QP).

In this role you are working with different levels and an intercultural environment in the organization
